The project "Find your inner inventor" is a project implemented from the European Union funds, in which the team from the University of Bielsko-Biala together with international partners from the Czech Republic (VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava - project coordinator) and Iceland (University of Iceland) work on the preparation of modern methods of entrepreneurship education. The partners of the international project are universities.
The goal of the project is to analyze the educational needs of young people, which will allow to develop modern forms of youth work and encourage students to practical interest in various aspects of entrepreneurship. The first stage was the analysis of students' needs enabling the development of work methodology.
Thus, in the project the key is to build partnerships with secondary schools and the participation of young people in the planned activities. Depending on the educational specificity of each country, such relationships will be built by each of the international partners. At the initiative of the University, the youth of two Bielsko-Biała schools will take part in the project:
Thanks to this, it is possible to start another, extremely important phase of the project aimed at testing the solutions being developed and finding such forms and methods of work with young people that will enable them to become actively acquainted with practical knowledge about establishing business relationships, creating business plans and running the company independently. The intention of the organizers is that all the effects developed in the project will be presented during the conference planned for November 2018.

The University Bielsko-Biala together with VŠB – Technical University in Ostrava, as coordinator, and the Icelandic institution – the University of Iceland – received funding for the project: „Find your inner inventor” under the Erasmus + Program, action 2. Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices - strategic partnerships. The project will last 30 months, during which the analysis of educational needs of secondary school students in the field of entrepreneurship will be carried out.
In the next stage, based on the results of the surveys, a training program based on the simulation of the real business environment will be prepared.
The assumptions of the project meet the expectations of people educating themselves at the secondary school level: the training program developed as part of the project is to help to develop entrepreneurial skills in practice, indicate future career opportunities in business or self-employment, and show a comprehensive business cycle from the idea through the development of the idea / product to be placed on the market. The project is also to encourage continuation of education after high school and enable students to contact the scientific community, which will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the academic community and Bielsko-Biała schools and entrepreneurial entities of the region.
Several University’s of Bielsko-Biala units supporting entrepreneurship and cooperation with educational units at both regional and international level (Careers Office, International Exchange Center and Department of Science and International Cooperation) are involved in the implementation of the project.
